Community-building, Advocacy & Engagement
CCPJ has a long history of working with community members and organizations on behalf of our mission. Some of these groups most recently include Charlottesville Friends Meeting, Veterans for Peace Ch. 171, Augusta Coalition for Peace & Justice, Clergy and Laypeople United for Peace, Sierra Club, Virginia Organizing and many other local faith congregations.
Check the calendar for details on our annual Community Dinner where local leaders and activists can network and share the benefits of their collective experiences. This event is usually mid-June.
Other regular events include the Eyes Wide Open exhibit for Veterans Day; International Day of Peace (21 Sep.); the Charlottesville Dogwood festival; and Hiroshima/Nagasaki day observances.
