The Charlottesville Area Progressives Society, or CH.A.P.S., is a grassroots organization striving to empower, enlighten and educate those who care about our democracy, environment and freedom, both local and global.

Although the issues surrounding us are serious, it shouldn't stop us from enjoying community while we help each other understand and become active in the world we live in. Some gatherings could include the watching of a documentary or special televised event always with discussion during and after. Depending on the day and time, we'll have a potluck and/or dessert.

Please join us for a night of presidential politics. Things are just now starting to get interesting. We think it’s important to stay informed and united in helping to bring a democratic president to the While House. Discussion and dessert (let the hosts know if you plan on bringing anything to share), before the debate which starts at 8:00.
