Witness for Peace is hosting their annual Southeast speaker tour. Alba Maria Cuesta Arias, an Afro Colombian Woman from the Choco region of Colombia who has been displaced by the violence and will speak about the conflict in her country as well as efforts at peace and reconciliation. Alba Maria is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Displaced Afro Colombians of the Choco. Sra Cuesta Arias will be speaking at the Church of the Incarnation parish hall on Tuesday, October 2 at 7 pm. The presentation will be bilingual. There is no cost for the talk, though donations will be gratefully accepted.
