EYES WIDE OPEN: THE COST OF WAR TO VIRGINIA
“An exhibit that speaks directly to our hearts and reminds us of the human cost of war.”
Over 112 pairs of empty
combat boots – tagged with the names of
Virginia soldiers who have died in the
current Iraq war – will be displayed, together
with a visual representation of hundreds of
thousands of Iraqi civilians who have died
during the conflict.
